Transitioning from Fake Foods to Natural

I'd like to repeat, again, that if you're really serious about getting healthy and losing weight and keeping it off, the first thing you need to do is eat natural "real food" and avoid processed foods.

As Bitchcakes detailed, you can actually get addicted to chemical based foods. Read her post, read the books she mentions (which I've also blogged about), and start eating naturally.

  2. I'm so glad you picked this up and referred it to your readers, thank you! When you just stop for a minute and think about what you're putting in your mouth, which ends up in your body, it makes so much sense: Why on EARTH would you eat that crap? Why? I was horrified when it finally hit me. It's not food. It isn't helping me. It's entertainment for my tongue. It serves no other purpose. Therefore, it has no place in my life. Thanks again for linking to this post!

  3. I've been talking about this a great deal to my neighbor. She wasn't raised with a tradition of cooking except from cans and boxes and eats a great deal of convenience food, fast food and food from casual restaurants. She also has a multitude of health problems. Naturally, I'm convinced that her health issues are caused mostly from her diet. I'm sending her a link to the article.

    She has started to cook (from scratch!) more and I think she'll see some improvements in her health.
